| Clay pipes made in porcelain and fired to 900° centiqrade and, in certain cases smoked in sawdust, decorated with gold. The "one off" pieces are hand modelled and the other moulded. Many pieces are either in bamboo, ebonite or hard achrylic. Each pipe has a cork joint between the clay bowl and the mouth piece.  Suggestion for breaking-in and general maintenance.Do not season the bowl with alcohol but rather smoke for the first time with a small amount of tobacco, progressively encreasing the charge at each smoking. To clean the pipe seperate the two elements by rotating always in the same direction, to assemble repeat the process. Remember to maintain the cork joint slightly damp specially when the pipe is out of use. Never knock-out the pipe to clean it but rather use the pipe cleaner. | ||
